Benedict Atkinson has worked at senior levels in contracting, intellectual property and legislative policy for the Commonwealth and NSW governments. He made recommendations that led to the reform of NSW government copyright policy administration. He is author of The True History of Copyright: The Australian Experience 1905-2005 (Sydney University Press).
