Eating and socialising online - CCI researchers are showing the way

Five CCI researchers were successful in the latest round of Australian Research Council grants announced last week.

Axel Bruns and Jean Burgess (along with Thomas Nicolai and Laars. Kirchoff) were awarded a three year Discovery grant for their project "New media and public communication: Mapping Australian User-Created Content in Online Social Networks". Total funding for the project is $401,000. More information on the project is available at Axel's blog

A linkage grant was awarded to Marcus Foth, Greg Hearn, Jaz Choi (+ Prof Eli Blevis, Prof Younghui Kim, Dr Tad Hirsch) for the project "Eat, cook, grow: Ubiquitous technology for sustainable food culture in the city". The total funding for this project is $320,553.
